This ambitious brief looks to create a boutique hotel with luxurious suites alongside a variety of wellness facilities including gym and spa, exercise studio, steam and wet rooms, saunas, indoor pool, and outdoor Jacuzzi.

The project combines the refurbishment of an existing Grade I Listed country house alongside a new four story 300 bedroom hotel which will house a members club with restaurant and a basement ballroom with the capacity to host large annual wellness events. KAP is working closely with our client to obtain planning on this sensitive site, whilst maximizing the potential to create a wonderful new type of resort.

The retreat is set in lush landscaped grounds. Easy access to the outdoors and open lakeside spaces create fantastic opportunities to take classes and yoga practice outside.

Accommodation in purpose built villas and beautifully detailed contemporary treehouses will be accessed along pathways to the north of the members club. Wherever possible trees have been retained, with new planting creating a soft and natural ambience across the site, with plenty of dappled shade. Planting and foliage is used to create intimate outdoor spaces for rest, relaxation and contemplation.

Interiors have been designed to convey a simple luxury based on high quality natural materials and tones, and connections with the outdoor environment enhanced by ample floor to ceiling glazing and fully openable windows.
